Respect for a General

Most of you have heard about the General that was reprimanded by a Senator for not addressing her as Senator. Well, here is a compilation. Please watch this video and let me know if you think her comments to the General were appropriate. Please leave comments. Was a General way off base to call a Senator "ma'am" or "sir"?

Also, please note this from the Fox News story:

"Tuesday's hearing was hardly the first time a military officer used those terms during sworn testimony.

The same day at a Senate Armed Services subcommittee hearing, two Navy officials repeatedly referred to Sen. Roger Wicker, R-Miss., with the title, "sir."

"Yes, sir," Navy Vice Adm. Bernard McCullough said when answering questions.

Wicker raised no objections."

Aloha.

Funny. I'm thinking the Brigadier General worked awful hard to get HIS title also, but did she refer to him by HIS title? She didn't even use ANY title, which REALLY sounds like she's talking down to him.
