War's Cost

So, the total casualty count is up to 4,000. Please review the link below:

Also, here is a link to the question "How many people died on D-Day":

http://wiki.answers.com/Q/How_many_people_died_on_D-Day

Finally:

"When dark days in U.S. history are recalled, they usually include Pearl Harbor and the September 11 terrorist attacks, both of which killed about 3,000 people.

But the single bloodiest day in American military history occurred in 1862, in the battle of Antietam, near Sharpsburg, Maryland. Forces of Union General George McClellan and the Confederate troops of General Robert E. Lee met in a daylong pitched battle. By its end, more than 23,000 soldiers had been killed or wounded."

So, we are up to 1.6 D-Days and (using the 56% avg. KIA vs WIA Civil War figure and assuming 16 hours of combat) about 5 hours of Antietam.

Or, we are up to the first plane on Sept 12.

PER...SPEC...TIVE. PERSPECTIVE.

Aloha.

Nothing. If one more plane had happened (say on Sept 12), and had a comparable amount of casualties, it would bring the death toll to 4000.
